“Orange Pancakes” from Pinterest

I totally agree with those who say that Mr. Sun never gets tired of greeting the Earth’s population every day. His greeting is always warm, as usual. It helps me recharge my energy and brings back the smile I’ve been longing for. It was a game changer — my mood suddenly got better.

After a rather long walk, I finally arrived at my destination. It was just a traditional market by the roadside. At first, I just only intended to buy some daily necessities there. But, I had an issue with online payment, so I had to walk back to the minimarket.

In the end, the things I bought weren’t much different from what I initially planned. Living in area with plenty of store choices —ranging from traditional markets to modern ones — is truly convenient. What a day to be alive. I’m really grateful for this situation. Thanks, Mom and Dad, for choosing this super-comfy kos for me back then.

Some of the things I bought were flour and orange syrup. Since Ramadhan is approaching, the minimarket offered special discounts on selected products, including the syrup. So, why not? It’s not a sin to enjoy iced orange syrup before Ramadhan, right?

Believe it or not, it was my first time drinking iced water after a super long time. I usually prefer warm drinks over cold ones. But this time, I wanted to try something different. And yeah, you’re right — it was so refreshing, I loved it!

Besides that, I also made pancakes using the flour I bought. It was a little experiment — I just mixed water and flour. Yup, no sugar at all. But once the pancakes were ready, I poured some orange syrup over them. You might think it’s not a great idea, but for me, it was the perfect decision.

Who knew that the combination of pancakes and a glass of iced orange syrup could make my day? Suddenly, the world felt colorful again. Yes, it might sound exaggerated, but trust me, I really felt that way. I admit that those combo was just “a small thing” — simple yet powerful enough to bring back my appetite, and more importantly, my motivation to “start over”. It helped me return to “reality” after some bed-rot moments.
